In the morning session, safety expert Clay Merches will cover the process of transitioning from AOBRDs to ELDs before the December 16 deadline. This session will cover the following:
  • Understand the back office settings when transitioning from AOBRD mode to ELD mode and how those changes affect drivers and operations

  • Setting up safety management processes that meet the compliance review officers' expectations
  • Benefits of creating/conducting an introduction presentation for the Review Officer prior to the beginning of a CR
  • Importance of creating an open and inviting environment/dialog with CR officers to ensure positive results from the CR
