The trucking industry has been lauded for its vital role in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, both in support of the medical community and in keeping the nations supply chains for overall commerce rolling as reliably as ever.  Our drivers' heroic efforts work would not be possible without safe and reliable equipment under them, and fleet maintenance operations have continued to perform the critical role behind the scenes.

Jack Legler of ATA's TMC will guide attendees through a variety of factors and valuable lessons learned from TMC members throughout these challenging times. These include shop workforce considerations, crisis planning for fleet maintenance and results of TMC's own survey to assess how the pandemic is affecting the industry's ability to keep our equipment rolling down the highways.

Mark Winchell, director of national accounts for Whiting Systems, will also provide an update on the Technology Maintenance Council S.4 Cab and Controls, RP 443 Update (In-Cab Cleaning & Deodorizing Guidelines) Task Force.

Attendees will learn about the following:
  • TMC’s information sharing among maintenance professionals during the pandemic
  • Recommended practices related to disaster planning and cleaning/decontamination of equipment
Actual industry experience as to how COVID-19 is affecting shop labor force and maintenance supply chains.
