While autonomous trucks seem far away at this point, there are new advanced driving systems available today that can make the industry safer and more efficient. The trucking industry is now working aggressively with FMCSA to promote active driver assistance systems that will support truck drivers in their daily operations. This new collaboration, named Tech-Celerate Now, will utilize research, information and education to increase awareness and adoption of these important systems by fleets and truck drivers alike.
Dan Murray will provide important insight and newly developed research findings on the benefits – and challenges – associated with accelerating adoption of active safety systems.
