Renewable Diesel and the Challenges of Electrification

Jeff Short, vice president of the American Transportation Research Institute, will discuss efforts towards decreasing trucking industry emissions. This will include a discussion of research into several alternative energy sources including electric, hydrogen and renewable fuels. Additionally, Short will discuss several of the key challenges facing vehicle electrification.
Mr. Short is the lead researcher for ATRI's zero-emission truck and electric truck infrastructure research initiatives. He holds a BA from Emory University and an MS from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Chevron and Cummins together will review renewable fuels that are readily available today and future fuels. Key topics will be biofuels (renewable diesel /biodiesel), renewable natural gas/compressed natural gas and hydrogen and the engines that complement them.
Erin Field is a senior business development specialist for renewable fuels in Chevron's Americas Fuels and Lubricants business.
Since joining Chevron in Americas Lubricants division in 2015, Erin’s experiences have included roles in lubricants business development, global OEM account management, and lubricants national account fleet manager. She now enjoys her role in the renewable fuels business with a focus on CNG/RNG and Hydrogen commercial fuel sales.
Prior to Chevron, her over 24 years as a sales professional include national account roles at CITGO Petroleum and for a medical device company TMC Orthopedic, as well as Black & Decker.
